Is your organization considering participating in the Imagine Canada Standards program?

I recently worked as a knowledge philanthropist with Vantage Point, facilitating internal discussions and action planning to complete the Imagine Standards, an accreditation process for Canadian non-profits. Through a series of posts, I’ll be sharing with you information about the opportunities that an accreditation process offers to organizations and lessons learned from completing the Imagine Standards - which I hope will be useful to you as you embark on (or consider) this process.

I had the most delightful conversation with Dick Vollet over lunch in March. A man with an interesting career (London Drugs, VANOC, and St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation), uncompromising values, and sense of humour, Dick is an inspiring leader. 

Growing up, Dick wanted to be a professional skier. His career took a different path, but Dick often draws on his experiences in sport to find parallels in his approach to leadership.
