Timeraiser 2012

Vantage PointTimeraiser

Vantage Point is excited to partner with Framework to bring the 5th Vancouver Timeraiser to the Roundhouse Community Centre, November 8th, 2012.

The Timeraiser is part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town. Throughout the evening, participants meet with not-for-profit organizations and explore the exciting, innovative and meaningful volunteer roles they have to offer.

The three main objectives of the Timeraiser are to:

•    Connect not-for-profit organizations with skilled and energetic volunteers
•    Raise awareness about organizations in the community
•    Bring together the arts and not-for-profit sectors to create community connections

Participants pledge to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours with the organization(s) they connect with at the Timeraiser. Some will pledge more. Their hours become the currency that they can then use to bid on artwork in the silent auction. Successful auction bidders have 12 months to complete their volunteer pledge. When they do, they bring the artwork home as a reminder of their goodwill.
