With over two decades of experience across high-tech unicorn companies, Fortune 100 corporations, and non-profit organizations, Akshita has been deeply committed to driving positive change and fostering excellence.
Akshita has worked and volunteered for various BC non-profits, including First Nations Health Authority, Health Match BC, Focus@Work, YWCA, Dress for Success, and most recently as a Knowledge Philanthropist at Vantage Point.
Akshita has initiated various programs for Indigenous Reconciliation awareness, recruitment, and diversity initiatives with BC government organizations, provincial health authorities, and participated in creating successful government programs at Health Match BC.
While at First Nations Health Authority, Akshita has supported over 200 Indigenous communities in BC, executing and maintaining the unique governance structure. As the regional Head for BC & Yukon at Canada Post (Pacific), she brings unique perspectives from both urban and rural communities of BC.
With experience working with 96 different nationalities, Akshita advocates for impactful EDI policies and programs to make diversity the true strength of an organization.
Passionate about leveraging technology to advance non-profit missions, Akshita graduated from MIT’s Product Management and MITdesignX programs, gaining insights into leveraging technological advances such as AI in policy-making.
Akshita also brings expertise in legal compliance, HR, Indigenous reconciliation initiatives, Capital raise and grants, project managing SOC 2 compliance and spearheading Indigenous recruiting strategies.
