Fatima is one of our Planning Consultants at Vantage Point, specializing in working with clients in the vibrant Fraser Valley region. Her approach is rooted in nurturing community engagement and fostering intersectional partnerships, driven by her deep passion for empowering grassroots organizations to amplify their impact.
With a 15-year career in the non-profit sector, Fatima brings a wealth of experience, and a versatile skill set that includes collaboration, relationship-building, participatory facilitation, and innovative problem-solving. Her journey has been marked by transformative roles and impactful projects.
Fatima holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the University of British Columbia. Her career highlights include serving as a Fieldworker with Amnesty International, a Strategic Planner with for grassroots community organizations, and Director of the Professional Development Program at the Mothers Matter Centre. Notably, she led the successful overhaul of a professional development program into a thriving online school for marginalized women, spearheaded a comprehensive two-year strategic planning process for a grassroots organization, and cultivated robust relationships with partners, donors, volunteers, and community leaders.
Beyond her professional life, Fatima is a nature enthusiast, an engaging storyteller, and a devoted aunt to her niece and three nephews. If given the chance, she would be on a plane, eager to dive into the culture, history, and people of a new city.
