Joyce Lin

Growing up, first on the traditional lands of the Taiwanese Indigenous Peoples and later as a newcomer settler immigrant on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəyəm (Musqueam) and hənqəminəm (Halkomelem) speaking peoples, Joyce often found interest and joy in being part of different community settings. Guided by the sentiment that “we are all born into the world of community” (bell hooks), Joyce has volunteered and worked in the non-profit sector since high school.

In her current role, Joyce facilitates participatory processes for the sector to build and utilize knowledge about the sector, with care for empowering BC’s non-profit community along the way.

Outside of work, Joyce is a member of the City of Richmond’s Childcare Advisory Committee and an alumna of UVic’s MACD Program who enjoys reading tangible books, perfecting her favourite family-style dishes, and marathoning K-dramas when she can.
