Joyce joined Vantage Point in 2019 as the Provincial Outreach Coordinator, focused on exploring synergies between Vantage Point’s organizational and sector capacity-building services and local non-profit ecosystems outside of Metro Vancouver. The pandemic’s challenges presented urgent opportunities for the Vantage Point team to convene and support the sector in new ways, and Joyce’s role has since continued to evolve and encompass activities that support Vantage Point to better meet its vision and mission of a sustainable BC non-profit sector.

Joyce has been deepening her experience in the non-profit sector since her student days, through various volunteer positions in her local community on Musqueam lands and inner-city neighbourhoods, which eventually led to working at Richmond Family Place, Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, Drive Youth Employment Services, and Pacific Autism Family Network.

Outside of work these days, Joyce is mostly spending time with her family and friends, volunteering on the City of Richmond’s Child Care Development Advisory Committee and is completing University of Victoria’s master’s program in community development.
