Maria Turnbull (she/her) is the Associate Executive Director at Vantage Point and brings 25+ years of leadership experience in staff and board roles across the non-profit sector in Canada and the UK. She is an accomplished facilitator and consultant specializing in governance, organizational development, strategic and operational planning, and practical HR/management systems that help organizations strengthen impact and alignment.  

With an MBA (INSEAD) and a BA in International Relations (UBC), Maria has advised organizations ranging from small teams to those with multi-million-dollar budgets and has supported hundreds of non-profits across subsectors including health, housing, social services, arts and culture, education, and sport.  

Maria is current Board Secretary and Governance Committee Chair with the Bowen Island Health Care Foundation and former Chair of Potluck Café Society and the Bowen Island Montessori School. Maria lives on Bowen Island (Nex̱wlélex̱m) where she lives with her husband and two teenage sons and occasionally finds time for her other passions - skiing, cycling, travelling, and sailing.
