Facilitator

Wayne Robert

Wayne most recently worked full time at Health Initiative for Men (HIM) as Executive Director, beginning in 2009, bringing more than 25 years of leadership expertise to that role. Since his retirement in 2014 he has worked as a consultant in Board Development and Leadership Continuity, placing Interim Executive Directors in numerous organizations and acting as senior advisor to guide them through challenging transitions. Prior to joining HIM, Wayne spent 15 years in progressive management positions at Knowledge Network, BC’s educational broadcaster (Channel 5), ultimately serving as General Manager from 2002 to 2007. After that, Wayne worked as interim Executive Director for the Gitga’at First Nation in Hartley Bay, developing governance models that incorporated both the hereditary system and the Indian Act regulations. He also volunteers his time and skills at Vantage Point providing executive and board leadership and organizational development services through their Knowledge Philanthropy program.
