We’re thrilled to invite you to the first BC Non-Profit Network: Central Vancouver Island Leaders Gathering!
Join us on December 11, 2024, at the Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and celebration. This an opportunity for non-profits, charities, and community organizations to deepen relationships with each other, learn about what’s happening in the non-profit sector in BC, and contribute to the building of the newly launched BC Non-Profit Network.
This gathering is a chance to engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing non-profits in your region.
Your voice is essential in shaping the future of our sector, and we look forward to hearing your insights!

This event is open to all staff and volunteers from non-profits, charities, and community organizations from all sub-sectors, as well as funders, municipal staff or others who support non-profits.
Event Highlights:
- State of the Sector Report: The Vantage Point team will share local data and insights from the 2024 Under Pressure Report, with opportunity to engage with the information and discuss alignment with your own experiences.
- BC Non-Profit Network Update: Learn about the BC Non-Profit Network, its progress, and what to anticipate in the coming year. This is a chance to share what you want to see from a provincial network, and how you would like to be involved.
- Community Conversations: Participate in a facilitated dialogue about local needs and priorities. Let’s explore how we can work together to build a stronger network of non-profits.
- Resource and Information Sharing: Learn about the various resources available to organizations in BC, what’s available locally, and what other non-profits are working on.
- Networking Social: After the sessions, we invite you to celebrate! Connect with fellow non-profit leaders, build stronger relationship and partnerships, share stories, and join us in taking a moment to appreciate all your dedication over light refreshments.
