Are you embarking on a significant project that will bring about change? Will those changes affect staff, volunteers, or others internally in a significant way? Or those you serve and others external to the organization?

A new collaboration with PM-Volunteers, the Managing Change Essentials Workshop, will give you the tools to move forward to develop a strong plan to manage the change process.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this session you will begin to:

  • Identify the difference between change and transition, and embrace the principles of change management.
  • Appreciate different change management approaches and what is most appropriate for your organization.
  • Identify concrete steps you can take immediately to build your capacity to manage and implement change.

Suggested Participants:

This workshop is ideal for leaders in non-profit organizations including managers, task leads, Executive Directors, CEOs and Board members.

Program Benefits:

Participants will gain an understanding of the difference between change and transition, and identify concrete steps to build their organizational capacity to manage and implement change, effectively.

Facilitator

Melissa Sadeh

Melissa is a highly experienced project and change management practitioner with experience spanning over 6 years across diverse industries, including financial services, insurance and health care. Having recently relocated from New Westminster, British Columbia to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Melissa is eager to embrace new opportunities both personally and professionally in the Canadian north while also continuing to support work happening in British Columbia.

Melissa is currently working as Project Manager of Capital Developments for the not-for-profit Foundry BC, a province-wide network of integrated health and wellness services tailored to young people aged 12-24. In this role, she supports and manages the establishment of new and developing Foundry Centres across British Columbia. With a focus on forging strong and trusting relationships/partnerships with diverse communities and partners across the provinces, Melissa’s strong project management skills have led to effective project outcomes while making a positive impact in the lives of youth and families across the province.

Melissa is a Prosci certified change management practitioner and also holds her CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification from The Project Management Institute.

Beyond work, Melissa is a very passionate salsa dancer with a background in performing and teaching dance in both British Columbia and the Yukon, she brings her vibrant energy and love for dance to her new community.

With a blend of professional acumen and dedication to creating positive change, Melissa firmly believes that the success of any change initiative lies in understanding and addressing the human aspect of any project, transformation or change. She is driven by the desire to help individuals and teams navigate change effectively and foster a positive work environment.
