The BC Non-Profit Network
Connecting and amplifying the voices of BC’s non-profit sector.

About the Network
The BC Non-Profit Network (BCNN) is a network composed of a diverse range of non-profit organizations in British Columbia.
This broad, sectoral group includes umbrella organizations, registered charities and societies, non-profit cooperatives, social enterprises, industry organizations, and other entities supporting public benefit in BC, who will convene to address issues that affect BC’s non-profit sector.
The Network presents a pivotal opportunity for the sector to enhance its influence in policy discussions and continue to serve as a crucial partner to government in addressing community needs. By strengthening connections, resources and support, and collective advocacy, the Network will drive sector-wide initiatives that benefit communities across the province.
Background
From August 2022 to March 2023, Vantage Point undertook a feasibility study to assess the BC non-profit sector’s interest and capacity to participate in a formal provincial network, and to identify the types of activities such a network could embark on together to achieve greater impact and visibility for the sector.
The results indicated there are common challenges and opportunities shared by non-profit organizations across different sub-sectors and regions of the province that could be better addressed through a coordinated approach. Through this consultation process, Vantage Point learned there is interest from the majority of those consulted to explore the creation of a non-profit network in BC.
