Become a Knowledge Philanthropist
Contribute your talent toward transforming non-profit leadership with Vantage Point
What is Knowledge Philanthropy?
Vantage Point innovated the concept known as “Knowledge Philanthropy”— a practice which engages skilled and passionate volunteers from the community to increase capacity and add expertise to non-profit organizations across British Columbia.
Our Knowledge Philanthropists (“KPs”) contribute their specific expertise and experience towards our mission: lifting the capacity of non-profit leaders.
They offer time, energy, knowledge, and skills to Vantage Point, and are key members of our integrated talent team.
Our primary 2 Knowledge Philanthropy roles are Facilitators and Digital Hosts however, we have a multitude of other ways to get involved in our work, in areas such as content development, advisory positions, event hosting and more.
Check out our current opportunities on Volunteer Connector through govolunteer.ca. Don’t see an opportunity for you? We’re always looking for new ways to engage our talented KPs.

Who are our Knowledge Philanthropists?
We are always finding new ways to engage our valuable volunteers in our work with the sector. Below are our core volunteer opportunities and look forward to collaborating to find other ways to connect our KPs to other opportunities within Vantage Point and the community.
Facilitators
Our KP Facilitators are professionals who voluntarily and generously share knowledge with Vantage Point clients as consultants, advisers, professional coaches, and mentors.
They are proven experts in their field and deliver most of our programs in topic areas such as Strategic Planning, Board Governance, Organizational Assessment, Financial Governance, HR Practices, and Leadership.
Digital Hosts
Our KP Digital Hosts are individuals who are eager to apply their tech skills – several of which learned through our training – to our workshops and labs. The Digital Host role is a great way to support our work and take in some great content at the same time!
As a member of the Education & Consulting Team, they offer basic tech support to our staff and facilitators during virtual workshops and custom training sessions that we offer to build capacity in the sector.
