Learn about our Peer Networks

Collaborate with other incredible individuals and organizations to build systems change for the non-profit sector. By joining a peer network, you will connect with prominent leaders advancing some of the most complex challenges faced by non-profits in BC.

A peer network is a group formed by passionate non-profit leaders on a sector-wide topic, in an environment that supports peer-to-peer learning. At our peer networks, participants come together regularly to take learnings, discussions, and resources back to their organizations.

Be a part of sector advocacy and build relationships with sector influencers. Participate in virtual conversations to look at the big picture and directly influence public policy decisions.

Peer Networks:

  • ED Unplugged
  • Reimagining Governance Peer Network
  • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Peer Network

Check out our ED Unplugged

A monthly event in which Executive Directors – including CEOs, Artistic Directors, General Managers, and other non-profit senior staff members – come together to learn and support each other.

They spend time discussing challenges, dilemmas, and questions surrounding a variety of topics of interest and build a network across subsectors.

This network regularly invites speakers to join to share or reflect on an area of interest as outlined by participants. 2023 topics included tools for pragmatic meetings, digital accessibility, law for non-profits, HR in the sector and more.

This network meets virtually on the last Wednesday of each month from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.

Reimagining Governance Peer Network

A monthly event where we discuss all things governance!

Governance is complex, and goes beyond simply board performance. This peer network provides board members, senior leaders, and those simply interested in governance to come together to ask questions, discuss governance issues, provide feedback, and learn from organizations advancing alternative solutions to governance.

Good governance in non-profits advances the missions, and strengthens communities, and this space provides opportunities and pathways for organizations to design their governance based on their unique circumstances. 2023 topics included centering youth in governance, board recruitment, alternatives to Robert’s Rules, and equity in governance.

This network meets virtually on the fourth Monday of each month from 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Peer Network

This monthly network is for senior leaders responsible for inclusion and diversity, and those from equity-deserving communities interested in advancing EDI practices.

This network comes together to learn, review, discuss, and share approaches and practices that support building organizations that are respectful, diverse, inclusive, and healthy.

The focus of this network is creating an environment for peer-to-peer learning, where participants come together every month to take learnings, discussions, and resources back to their organizations. This network intakes new members on an annual basis. The next intake will start in July 2024. You can submit an expression of interest at anytime by clicking the button below.
