This example case study was developed to encourage support to help Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society prepare for climate-related emergencies. The resource is one of several resources developed in partnership with the Public Health Association of BC and Vancouver Coastal Health through the Climate Change Adaptation for Non-Profit Partners project, which has a priority on maintaining or enhancing services and supports to equity-deserving community members, who are at higher risk of negative health impacts during climate-related emergencies.
This sample was developed by Collingwood Neighbourhood House to support access to services and programs for those with uncertain or no immigration status and/or who fear detention, psychological and physical harm, or deportation, when accessing services, with support from Health Promotion Community Investments, Population Health at Vancouver Coastal Health.
