Volunteer Role: Facilitators

Volunteer Role: Facilitators

Non-profit experts with a solid background in facilitation and 3 or more years of experience in one of our specialized topics are invited to join our team!

Our volunteer Facilitators are typically professionals in their fields who voluntarily and generously share their knowledge and expertise with Vantage Point clients as trainers and/or consultants. That's why we call them Knowledge Philanthropists!

Facilitators deliver interactive workshops and training sessions, both virtually and in-person, in topic areas such as Strategic Planning, Board Governance, Leadership, Collaboration, Government Relations, Organizational Assessment, Fund Development, Change Management, and Team Cohesion.

We provide the training content, you provide the facilitation and examples or tips from your own experience.

True Autonomy & Flexibility

As a Knowledge Philanthropist Facilitator with Vantage Point, you will actively deliver training or consulting sessions individually or with a co-facilitator. We provide you with supportive curriculum and materials and the autonomy and flexibility to design your delivery, making this an ideal opportunity for:

  • Busy professionals who can seamlessly fit high-impact giving into a demanding work or consulting schedule.
  • Retired non-profit leaders or field experts that want to channel their deep wisdom to support and uplift multiple organizations.

Cultivating Inclusive Spaces

Our participants hold wonderfully diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, neurodiversities, and different levels of knowledge and experience. Because of this, inclusive facilitation is absolutely essential to being successful in this role.

We look for facilitators who naturally embody our core values:

  • Collective Learning & Equity: You excel at creating inclusive spaces that welcome diverse perspectives, intentionally challenging systemic imbalances, and addressing power dynamics.
  • Knowledge Connection & Creativity: You have a passion for sharing knowledge that connects individuals with vital expertise, and you aren't afraid to think outside the box to find innovative, collaborative solutions.
  • Relational Partnerships: You facilitate in a way that builds authentic, reciprocal, and transparent relationships with participants.
  • Responsive Service: You are agile and adaptable, listening closely to the unique needs of the participants and adjust your sessions accordingly.
