Gretchen Ferguson is Vantage Point's Director of Education and Consulting Programs. A dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience across the non-profit and post-secondary sectors in Canada and internationally, she specializes in education design and delivery, program development, and strategic initiatives — with a track record of mobilizing the resources, relationships, and partnerships that move missions forward. Gretchen brings board experience — including as a founding member and chair of multiple non-profits — and is deeply committed to equity, economic inclusion, and empowering organizations and communities to drive meaningful change.
Outside of Vantage Point, Gretchen is a proud East Vancouverite who is happiest near the water or among the trees. She is endlessly curious — always looking something up, always learning something new. Her playlist ranges from jazz to house to amapiano to 2000s rap, she'll never say no to a good sci-fi recommendation (book or movie), and her dog is an excellent co-worker. Highly collaborative and easy-going in almost every context, except when a card or board game is on the table, when she becomes unapologetically competitive.
Ask Gretchen about the best Thai restaurant in East Van, her sci-fi favourites, or why she takes board games very seriously.
