Check out our current opportunities on Volunteer Connector through govolunteer.ca. Don’t see an opportunity for you? We’d love to match your interests with the many initiatives and projects on the go at Vantage Point. Here are a few areas we’ve engaged people lately: curriculum development, human resources strategy, branding, website design, facilitation, professional coaching, online learning, evaluation….and the list goes on.
What is a Knowledge Philanthropist?
Vantage Point innovated the concept known as “Knowledge Philanthropy”— a practice which engages skilled and passionate volunteers from the community to increase capacity and add expertise to Not-for-Profit organizations.
Our Knowledge Philanthropists (“KPs”) contribute their specific expertise and experience towards our mission: lifting the capacity of not-for-profit leaders.
They offer time, energy, knowledge, and skills to Vantage Point, and are key members of our integrated talent team.
Who can become a Knowledge Philanthropist?
Anyone who would like to pass on their expertise and who has an interest in the not-for-profit sector can connect with us to become a Knowledge Philanthropist!
Vantage Point can also accommodate individuals who are completing community service; for example: interns, and career and personal planning students.
The most important part is their drive to enhance leadership capacity in the sector – and in turn enhance the sector as a whole.
Who are our Knowledge Philanthropists?
Our KPs are professionals who voluntarily and generously share knowledge with Vantage Point clients as consultants, advisers, professional coaches, and mentors.
They are proven experts in their field and deliver most of our programs in topic areas such as strategic planning, board governance, organizational assessment, Financial Governance, HR practices, and leadership.
Join our team as a Digital Host
Have you ever wanted to join one of our Vantage Point workshops?
If you have some Zoom skills, becoming a Digital Workshop Host is a great way to support our work and take in some great content at the same time!
As a member of the Education & Consulting Team, you’ll offer basic tech support to our staff and facilitators during virtual workshops and custom training sessions that we offer to build capacity in the sector. Training is provided!

Join our referral list as a qualified consultant
Vantage Point provides not for profit leaders with the training, facilitation, and support services they need to deliver on their mission. We strive to give them the best information we can about the capacity building services in their communities. We often receive requests for consulting and other services from organizations across BC that are either out of our scope or beyond our own capacity. In order to better support these leaders, we are seeking to build a referral list.
When an organization calls us we want to offer them an up-to-date list of individuals and organizations providing the kind of service they are seeking.
If you would like to be on that list, please complete this form and be sure to read the information provided to ensure you are qualified. If you have any questions about our referral list or are unsure if you qualify, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you consider yourself a learning organization? We do. That’s why we focus on providing excellent professional development programs. Wherever you are located, and whether you’re looking to strengthen your governance skills, create new people engagement structures or develop the next generation of not-for-profit leaders, we have a wide range of learning opportunities for you.
