Climate Resilience Circle Guide

75% of Canadians feel that climate change impacts their mental health often in the form of eco-anxiety (United for Change, 2021). As extreme weather events continue to increase, this eco-anxiety is likely to grow and worsen. Providing an opportunity for employees to talk about their experience of climate change is a valuable process to relieve pent-up emotions and create connections. This Climate Resilience Circle Guide recommends a series of small group or ‘circle’ conversations to build a container of trust and authenticity and can easily be adapted to suit the needs of the organization.

This guide was developed by Be the Change Earth Alliance through support from the Public Health Association of BC and Vancouver Coastal Health through the Climate Change Adaptation for Non-Profit Partners project, with input from the Vantage Point team.

Environmental Scan of Climate Change Adaptation Supports for BC Non-Profits

This environmental scan was developed to 1) understand the availability of resources to support NPOs, 2) provide a high-level overview of available supports and resources for NPOs to assist in education, funding, planning, and resourcing to further climate change adaptation, and 3) identify opportunities for non-profit organizations, funders, and other stakeholders to create or advocate for resources.

This research was conducted through a partnership between the Public Health Association of BC and Vancouver Coastal Health as part of the Climate Change Adaptation for Non-Profit Partners project.
