Stretched Thin: 2025 State of BC’s Non-Profit Sector Report
British Columbia’s non-profits are stretched thin.
This year’s State of BC’s Non-Profit Sector Survey, conducted by Vantage Point, highlights what many in the sector already know: demand is rising, needs are more complex, and resources are increasingly limited.
Across the province, non-profit organizations are:
- Facing greater demand for services and more severe community challenges.
- Working through tight financial times, with flat revenues and increasing costs.
- Prioritizing staff retention and support, as people are at the heart of community impact.
- Investing in fund development, planning, and governance to adapt under pressure.
Despite these challenges, the sector continues to persevere. Organizations are finding ways to adapt, strengthen operations, and support the communities they serve.
